"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose."
-Dr. Seuss
Imagine the things you could accomplish if you brought everything to completion. Imagine the things you could accomplish if you walked in purpose instead of trying to accommodate the people around you. The possibilities are endless when you finally decide to silence the voices and focus on you and the path God has been telling you to go down for the longest.
Nothing is worse than constantly betraying yourself, because you're way too comfortable in the season you're in. How long are you willing to hang yourself out to dry because you're unsure of what your future will look like? There is better on the other side of the unknown. Just because you don't know what's next, that doesn't mean that God doesn't. Every step you choose to move forward is another moment God has to shift you in the direction He's been wanting to shift you in. I have to admit, thinking about your future and actually creating space for God to make moves on your behalf is so tough. If you're anything like me, you want great things for your life, but you're not willing to get in the back seat and let God take the wheel. Ms. Carrie said it best:
"Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
And save me from this road I'm on"
Think about it this way, would you rather wonder where you could have been, or say that you've experienced what you didn't know you needed. It's understandable to be afraid of where you haven't been because you're not sure of what to expect. Acknowledge how you feel, but understand that your feelings aren't always a reflection of your reality. As difficult as it may be, start moving with a purpose and watch how He moves you. Start the car, put it in drive, and watch where God will take you. Enjoy the journey and pay attention
to the places you'll go!
